Footsteps for Recovery is dedicated to promoting PENED's mission by providing awareness, support, & resources for the non-profit through fundraising within the community & holding the First Annual Footsteps for Recovery 5K Run/Walk benefiting PENED.
The PA Educational Network for Eating Disorders (PENED) was founded in 1984 by Anita Sinicrope Maier, MSW, after her own family's struggle with eating disorders.
The non-profit provides educational, supportive, & referral services to general & professional public on the causes, treatment, & prevention of eating disorders & related issues.
Anita Sinicrope Maier runs her non-profit & her practice along with acting as an advocate for eating disorders. Through Anita's benevolence & expertise, our family has found support, solace, & hope. In gratitude, we have created Footsteps for Recovery. |
